CITY OF CAPE TOWN MEDIA RELEASE 09 FEBRUARY 2009 Operation Cobra stings drug dens The City of Cape Town's Substance Abuse Unit (SAU), also known as the Drug Busters, has confiscated over a quarter of a million rands worth of drugs, alcohol and cash during Operation Cobra. According the Chairperson of the Drug Busters, Cllr Glen Kleinsmith, and the unit's co-ordinated efforts with the SA Police Services resulted in the arrest of 37 suspects for dealing with narcotics over the past month.
