She and a friend were walking home in the centre of Wesley Rd (between the two Merricks) when a fella drives by - slowing down as he passes her - and pulls her slingbag off her left shoulder and speeds off. It all happened so quickly that she says she didn't grasp too much detail.......
She thinks the car may have been either a WHITE TOYOTA 1600 or WHITE OPEL ASTRA. The thug who grabbed her bag was a black fella. The upside of this tale is that in her bag were a newspaper and half- empty bottle of salad dressing. Her purse she had in her jeans pocket and her cell phone was.......................at home !!! Her bag, however, was expensive and one-of-a-kind.
