I don't think the concern that this isn't crime-related is petty at
all; on the other hand, I receive an email digest in my inbox every
day of messages & responses posted at ONW Newsgroup, & it's easy at a
glance to see what's of interest to me & what's not. Today it was:

Quite clear, so what's the problem? In fact, if I hadn't heard about
what was going on at the park opposite the Spar here, it would've been
a mystery to me. It seems very few people were informed beforehand, or
consulted.

This newsgroup has the furthest reach in the neighbourhood, it seems -
maybe we should expand its scope, & while still making crime the
obvious focus, use it to communicate other news of general interest /
concern?
