I was entering Wesley (from Bishop Rd) last night at or about 9.30 p.m. when I saw a medium-height (I'm 1.65M and he wld have been a # little # taller....), black chap with ruck-sack, scaling a high palisade gate from inside a property and dropping down into Wesley Rd. I asked him what he was doing and he gave me some story or other which I didn't catch. I told him he was talking b*ll#hi%. He hesitated momentarily, said "Sorry", and immediately ran off towards Salt River (along Wesley and then Campbell) and then through the sports field I'd guess. He was pursued but not found............maybe next time.
Thanks to the TOC leader for his dependability, to ADT and to the SAPS who went into Shelly Street (Salt River) in search of this fellow and to The Black Bomb patrollers who gave support to us by coming out to see if they could assist.
