Rosebank NW reports: The "famous Dr Cohen", or whatever alias he is now using, is back. He has been operational for years, from Woodstock to Newlands and beyond. There is a very, very smart looking white man doing the rounds and trying to trick people out of cash. He is well spoken and very well presented. He claims to be a doctor living in the area who has locked himself out of his home. He would like to use the phone in order to contact a lock smith. Whilst on the phone there is talk of cash and amounts and the fact that the locksmith needs money up front. Thus he sets himself up to "borrow" money. He is very good at "his job" and name drops. I must admit that I "lent" money the other day to a well spoken young American backpacker with a good story at the St Peter's Square Pick'nPay and have not heard from him.
