Hi all This incident occurred in the Rosebank area, but please take care as she may enter our area. Regards Anton Peters Chairman - Lower Park Estate Residents Association and Neighbourhood Watch 021-6854189 0828940845 -----Original Message----- From: Douglas van der Horst [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 19 June 2009 11:48 AM To: undisclosed-recipients: Subject: RNW newsflash 111: con women trying to get into houses Dear RNW residents It has just been reported to me that earlier this week there was an incident in Clarendon Road involving a woman (coloured, well dressed, in her thirties, calling herself Michelle) who tried to talk her way into a number of houses. She had a long story about wanting to find work for her cousin from Zambia and asked to be let in to discuss this with the resident. When this request was refused she asked if she could use the toilet. She later tried the same ploy in Landseer Road and eventually, in Smith Street, she managed to get into a house while the owner was bringing in the refuse bin. The owner later found her hiding in a bedroom, which she had been searching. The details here are a bit vague but the owner phoned the police and the intruder managed to get away. So be on the lookout for Michelle (or whatever she might be calling herself now).
