I have just learned (first-hand) that a house in Irwell was broken into in the afternoon (probably between 1.00 & 3.00 pm - while the owner was out).
Some valuable stuff was lost to the thief. There were other people in the house (legitimately) at the time of the break-in but they had thought that the owner had returned. But it turned out to be an intruder..... The matter was reported to the SAPS. The owner of this house also mentioned to me that cars have been broken into in Irwell during the day and I understand that another house along the road in Irwell was also burgled (I think also during the day).
