I have already spoken to Rob and Miki Gaylord, as well as Leslie Miles, who are already going to make a donation. So, about Cecilia. Cecillia Kanhukamwe was one of the approximate 90 refugees, who were housed and helped at the time of the xenophobic attacks, at Wesley Church here in Obs. All of us who gave assistance to there, became very close to her and realized what a very special person she is. Ceclia is so lively and sweet, and she was in charge of the kitchen during that time. Both her parents are not alive, but she has a little daughter of 4 years old, who supports, as well as ayounger brother. She works incredibly hard in the Bakery Section at the Spar, where we found a job for her, and is well respected by the manager, Alcino and her peers. Cecilia received dreadful news yesterday. She heard that her younger brother, Willie, who many of us knew, died suddenly. He was 27 years old, living in Harare, and trying to get work in computer programming. He had a terrible headache and went to the nearest hospital, about 2000 miles outside Harare, where he lives. By the afternoon, he had died. Cecelia is unsure what could have caused it. Perhaps a brain tumour or haemmorage. It is so distressing and heartbreaking for her. She was in my kitchen all morning, crying and not knowing what to do. She needs our help, people. She regards us all as her family. We are here once again to give a helping hand. The coffin cost, the funeral, the buying of a grave, the "buying of a road", the fuel, etc. comes to R3000. I know we are always asking for money, but we still need to give more. We are so incredibly lucky and fortunate and so we must be there once again to help. So, I've broken it down to this. If TWENTY PEOPLE could find it in their hearts, to donate ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY RAND each, , that would make R3000. If that is too difficult, could you please donate R75. Cecelia is at the Spar between 12 and 9:00 tonight. Thank you so much, Shelley Eppel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
