Hi All Just a follow up from my previous mail, please see the following information pertaining to this incident.
I have conducted a full investigation and my findings are as follows: 1. Alarm activation received from the premises at 05:03:11 2. The control room operator acknowledged the signal at 05:03:25 3. The premises was contacted at 05:03:25 - phone busy 4. According to our records and the voice logger's two vehicles (W06 and W08) were dispatched to the premises at 05:04:13.The closest vehicle which was W08 was responding from Florence Road which is along the railway line on the other side of Milner Road. The response officer proceeded into Trill Road, Station Road, Barrington Road and finally into Milner Road. 5. The client was contacted on the cell phone at 05:05:20 and spoke to Mrs. Everatt who confirmed that the suspect had left the premises and had jumped over the wall. 6. The first vehicle (W08) arrived at the premises at 05:06:18 7. The response officer supplied feedback to the control room at 05:07:33 8. The second vehicle did not arrive at the premises as he was instructed to search the immediate area for the suspect as well as the alleged taxi. As per the statement received from the response officer this was relayed to the client. Our Standing Operating Procedure clearly states that a response officer's primary responsibility remains the safety of the client and the property at all times in the event of a positive incident. If the suspect flees and the suspect is outside the boundaries of the client's property the response officer is not allowed to "pursue", "follow" or "chase" the suspect. Regards. So here we sit with no bank cards and minus some expensive personal belongings and feeling horribly insecure after our most sacred safe haven was violated. The ADT Vehicle guy saw it all happen but according to instruction he could not make chase as his Control Room had not confirmed that we were ADT Customers - come on Mr Dell what sort of a Noddy Installation do you run there?????? The Perps entered and exited via the Railway line taking the streets unhindered by the pathetically run down and corroded wire fencing. The ADT Officer watched them exit along the line to a waiting taxi but like I said could not pursue till Big Brother Confirmed that we poor victims contribute to their coffers. What say you Manne, maybe we should request the fees of Rail-bicycle Guards from the Corporate Fat Boyz. Only consolation was that the Woodstock Police were fantastic and most efficient and professional throughout the Reporting Process.
