Helen ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Gray To: 'Helen Swart' Sent: Friday, October 09, 2009 5:21 PM Subject: SAPS Dear All, Woodstock SAPS have done extremely well in dealing with crime in our Sector in the last few months. During August, there was a decrease of most crime figures by an average of 20% and in September a decrease of 21%. In order to show our appreciation to the SAPS members of Sector 1, a bus trip around the Peninsula has been sponsored by Atlas Bus Tours and I will sponsor their refreshments. However, as a token of appreciation from Observatory, it would be greatly appreciated if we could possibly give each individual member a small personal gift by way of a thank-you card and a shopping voucher that can be redeemed at Pick 'n Pay. I would like to appeal to the community, if you can spare it, to make a small donation to the Obs Neighbourhood Watch, in order to achieve this. I apologise for sending this out at such short notice, but it came as a surprise, a nice surprise! For the police, the trip and time off means a lot, and as well as a bit of Rest & Relaxation, it also serves as a morale booster and a team building exercise. If you need time to arrange your donation, relax, simply send Helen a pledge and we can deal with the collection later on. Much appreciated, Brian Gray. PS I will still be helping out with the annual Sector 1 braai again this year. We are waiting for the weather to improve, and details will be made available once the arrangements have been finalised. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- No virus found in this incoming message.
