How frightening for everyone this nasty news is. I suggest that all mothers
with toddlers who have child minders collectivise as soon as possible so
that all outings are done in groups - this should happen straight away.
Please remind the child carers that they must have the police and Veta
Schola numbers on their cell phones and on SPEED DIAL. Vetus Schola should
be alerted to the possibility that they may receive urgent calls regarding
this and be ready to drop everything and go straight to the problem. The
child minders should also be ready to take licence plate numbers, so make
sure they have a pen and paper handy or record it on their cell phones.
HAVING SAID ALL THIS - I would like to remind everyone that it has been in
the news that human trafficking is on the increase prior to the World Cup,
and that this is not simply an Observatory problem. Therefore I would
suggest that anyone who has friends with toddlers in other neighbourhoods,
warns them about the incident. This could happen anywhere.
