This afternoon around 15:00 the two-way radio crackled into life. The Tattoo Shop corner Lower Main and Station Roads reported the theft of cell phone. The suspect was being chased and when I got outside there were a lot of people milling around in Station Road between Wesley and Arnold Roads where the suspect was apparently climbing from the back from property to property. The Metro Police arrived with flashing lights against the traffic.
Captain Jephta and many other police and people were on walls, gates being kicked in, the police dog handlers also arrived. Just heard that apparently earlier the suspect was chased from Trill into Oxford Road by the Metro Police and went into the property of Kris Marais when his wife just left the premises but was frightened off by Charlie their brave dog who did not like the uninvited quest.
