they should change the phrase, city works for you TO city works
against you.... :)

On Friday I was visited by the Law enforcement, to check up for
licensing and all other regulations, which is great to see them come
by and check up on businesses that they all run legitimate, HOWEVER
really they need to know their law as they just give me unnecessary
paperwork and extra things to sort out, in the time I could have done
other things...
I have been issued with a fine stating that my fire extinguishers are
not serviced on time... thou it states on all my fire extinguishers
that the due date is month of APRIL 2010 to service, I was told by the
officer that I needed it to be done on the first of the month which
doesnt make sense as there is no specific day on it!... after some
investigation, calling the HEAD of the Fire Department in our area and
also my company that sorts out the fire extinguishers, both told me I
have the right to do it in the whole of APRIL 2010 month, which makes
common sense, as their is no specific date...
Now I will need to run around, extra phonecalls, extra paperwork, and
go to court to get that fine scrapped...
Another scenario... was told that I may not receive liquor after 5pm
from my suppliers, yet another phonecall to the LIQUOR BOARD...
speaking personally with the Liquor inspector on the board, I was told
that I may receive stock in at any time that my Liquor license allows
me to trade....
So... I ask myself really... does Law enforcement really know their
laws? Cause as a citizen you try to do all right yet they look for
unnecessary little things to annoy you with... especially if the law
stipulates your rights... Or is there another conspiracy lol...
