Not only does the rain pour in from above but the "drainage" constantly comes up from below and the electricity fails regularly. See below
There is one suitable building which is now immediately available for a move but how do we get a decision? Please see attached. Yet you still maintain that Woodstock is not a priority and that nothing can be done because of heritage restrictions. I am sure that those restrictions do not pertain to keeping a building in good order. With all due respect, your response actually can not be labelled as such. Your response is a brush-off and shows, in my opinion, complete contempt for Community Police Forums and their members. I would like to remind you that CPF members are volunteers, who are giving countless hours and efforts to improving the relationship between SAPS and community and assisting SAPS in the fight against crime. The relationship between SAPS and CPF is a partnership. We are not some hobby-ists, and do not deserve to be treated like this. We have taken the time to write you a proper letter informing you of the situation at Woodstock police station, which we have been trying to address for the last 5 to 6 years, without having received any co-operation from SAPS at provincial or national level. Your three-sentence reply to this is frankly offensive. As a reminder I quote what we have requested in our letter of 12 May 2011: Woodstock CPF requests that you provide us with the following: A full report from Provincial SCM regarding the state of the Woodstock police station building and the measures currently in place to improve the situation* The report by the Provincial CI regarding the security inspection undertaken this week (of 9 May 2011) and the measures necessary to improve the security of Woodstock police station* A full accounting report breaking down the costs of repairs undertaken at Woodstock police station since December 2006.* I have also attached a list of problems with regards to the facilities at Woodstock police station. Please bear in mind that this list is far from complete. I would appreciate it if you could reply to this in a proper manner and providing the information that we request.
