My sense is that whether it is a resident or not, a drug incident or not, having someone murdered in our neighbourhood is the height of criminal activity and a pretty scary thing to happen in our neighbourhood. The fact that this happened, as with the murder in front of a pub last year, means that there is enough opportunity for criminal activity and that the people/criminals who perpetrated crime /murder do not feel enough of a disincentive to operate here. I accept that type of violent crime may not be necessarily be planned and prevented, but I suggest we use these incidents as an opportunity to review/ and look at how to increase our visible policing. From our Obsid experience, do we know anything more about this incident that would help explain the background?
