Eish!!
1st, approx 2 months ago, they stole approx 3 meters of thick copper
pipe between the pavement wall and my yard wall from my garden.
2nd, approx 1 months ago, they stole approx 6 meters of thick copper pipe
leading from the yard wall further into my property
3rd, this morning approc 9.30 am they stole the water meter and the stop
cock adjacent the garden wall, and again left me with gushing water, the
disruption and hassles.
A dark blue fleesy jacket, with a black beeny in the pocket, was thrown over
the broken end to stop the perpetrator from getting all wet.
Vetus Schola followed the water running down Scott Road coming from my
property, and alerted me to the fact. Thank you for that.
I contacted the Council "contact us", and await the usual reply;
The 10111 SAPS - They soon arrived to take a statement;
The Water Department to report the problem of disrupted water supply. They
will hopefully soon repair and replace the fittings.
Have a great day.
James

Subject: Stolen: Council Water Meter and Stop Cock - 49 Scott Road
Observatory
To: Contact Us <[email protected]>

I just had my council Water meter and stop cock stolen from my front garden
approx 9.40 am Mon 5 Sep 11.
I stopped the gushing water using the Council stop cock on the pavement in
front of the property.
Urgently have the service restored.
Thanks
Mr J. Cowley
