for the second time in a couple of weeks, my neighbour has had the battery stolen out of her car's engine. after the first theft - which cost her R800 as she didn't have a battery to hand in for the new one - she had the replacement chained and bolted.
no matter, in broad daylight - lunchtime - with them in the house - the bonnet was opened, the chain/bolt mechanism cut through, and the thieves got away with it. this is maddening and depressing. what more can one do? are there any suggestions out there of a way to secure the next one. she can't carry on like this. where is one supposed to pull another R800 out of the air. i'll prevail upon her to report it. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group.
