Hi Iain, Really appreciate your efforts to report this loss and can assure you that the community safety forums do use this info to get to grips with the problem as yours is now the 14th reported battery theft in a few months.
I have forwarded your e-mail to members of the CPF and Observatory CPSF as well as Obslife as I'm very disappointed with the attitude in this particular instance. Also thanks for your positive suggestion on reporting."smaller" crimes, I know this is done overseas lets hope the procedure can be made easier.
