All Residents, 26 Car batteries have been stolen during the last few month all over Observatory. Many thefts or full particulars are not reported by owners (Day, Time, Street and number, Make, Type, Circumstances etc)
However days standing out are Saturdays (32%) followed by Wednesdays (21.5%). The majority found missing during the night (40%+),from 18:00 to 24:00 (21%). Vehicles specifically targeted appears hatchbacks, Toyota's and Golf's but bakkies, M/B an others also) Specific targeted area between: Main, Station, Nuttall and Kotzee Road (50%) and Scott, Lytton, Milton and Robins Roads (20%) Please take care, lock your car in garage, well lit area, alarm vehicle. Be alert and report any suspicious activities - whatsoever - to Vetus Schola T 021 447-1066 . Suspects likely using cars (taxies?), be presentable and even operate openly during day time using bolt cutters and hack saws.
