Subject: [obsnw] Notice to residents: Stay Alert - things to watch out for/
Missing drain covers & gullies

Dear residents,

Please help us sorting out the missing drain cover issue in our area by
keeping your eyes peeled in your immediate area.

OPS are hard at work with SAPS to try and apprehend these guys - so please
stay alert. If you spot ''Council workers'' digging up the road for no
apparent reason, please contact OPS on 021-447-1066 or sms 072-063-1653 so
that they can come out and check the workers' credentials.

Also, several empty houses are being targeted and copper piping is being
ripped out of the walls - thus please, if you see workers on a property
which is vacant, also contact OPS to check their credentials. We have been
informed that thieves are dressing like workers when committing these
crimes, so residents tend not to question the situation - IMPORTANT - please
do not approach workers yourselves. OPS will come out to the location and if
needed attempt to make contact the owner /rental agent and check
credentials.

If you have a missing cover /drain at the moment, feel free to send it
through to me - I will take submissions today and tomorrow and forward them
through to City for action.

Please keep in mind that City is running out of budget due to this criminal
syndicate operating through-out CT, thus there is a likelihood that they
will only be able to tend to urgent matters right now. Attached is a
clipping from the most recent People's Post, where Tauriq Hassan interviewed
Brett Herron on the subject funds.

If any of the missing gullies are URGENT and pose a risk to small children/
animals or pedestrians, please send these through to me marked ''urgent''.
We will submit the complete list including all of these and others, in case
City can allocate funds to our area (we will keep asking).

Forward all to me on [email protected] and include the following details:

1) Street name

2) Near nr. or cnr of

3) Urgent or not

These can in future be reported directly to City on 0860 103 089 or sms
31373. For escalated /dangerous complaints, please feel free to contact me.

Please help Obsid Public Safety to improve our area by getting involved and
saying something when you see something.

Thanks all!
