They need to try a little harder - seriously the police lack the
ability to think for themselves and that is half the problem. I have
seen them sworn and spat at by "baddies" they are trying to arrest
and they do nothing. But just try you try watch them do something and
they come up and threaten to arrest you for whatever crap non-reason
that pops into their brain in that instant. The SAPS leave a lot to be
desired.

Interestingly enough there had been a call for the Police to chair a
meeting with liquor license holders so they can have the new
regulations explained so we can all be on the same page.

So far they have done zero about that. They clearly have their
interpretation and who is to say it is correct. After all it is really
up to a court of law to decide if a crime has been committed - not the
police.

I have recently chatted to the DPO of another sector and he was the
only one in his office that had been trained on the new law - is it
now wonder that the cops on the street area a little over zealous.
Challenge the fine and take up the poor policing with the Station
Commander and Howard Smith of the CPF

This is also a new law and we all know they police it to make an
impact - no doubt slacking off as the novelty wears off.
