Hi Micha
That SAPS during last night and this morning actually written up a fine is
very surprising to me, though it is not nice to undergo such an experience,
and feel for you, in that you were checked out this morning by SAPS. I am
somewhat disappointed that your establishment was found as a 'Positive'
case this morning, as opposed to all of the positively recurring
transgressing establishments applying their trade in Observatory over the
past two years or so. Usually, more than most complaints are seemingly
simply reported back to 10111 by Woodstock SAPS shift members as a
'Negative' cases i.e. no fine or arrest was made as no such transgression,
as was reported to SAPS via 10111, happened or was seen by SAPS themselves.
'Negative' seemingly due to either SAPS not checking thoroughly at
the establishment, not checking at all possibly due a higher priority crime
being attended to by SAPS, or simply not at all, or check too long after
the complaint was made, or apply their personal discretion to the case of
alcohol being consumed after the prescribed hour or noise being blatantly
generated by an establishment. SAPS have often been pushed hard and long
in having the poor statuesque of transgressing establishment remedied, and
remain to be a task at hand against SAPS Woodstock while liquor
licenced establishment transgressions continue to take place.
Andrew's guidance is wise and your establishment not to transgress, is best
to be pursued.
Kind regards
James
