Is the newly-elected police forum or anyone else taking this further
with the police? A thief caught red-handed but released with no
consequences because the police didn't bother to respond after
repeatedly being called.

THEFT OF CELLPHONE - at about 17:45 Mobile security driver arrested
and African male 26 years of age. Victim fell asleep in his car with
his cell phone in his hand and an eye witness saw the suspect taking
the cell phone. Mobile security driver took chase, caught the suspect
and Woodstock SAPS were contacted several times and never arrived to
attend to the matter. The complainant got fed up and decided to drop
the charges. He got his phone back and the suspect was released due to
SAPS not arriving. . ...
