Thanks Barrie - that was a good example Here is a link to an article on Portugal's drug decriminalization program
http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/evaluating-drug-decriminalization-in-portugal-12-years-later-a-891060.html And of course there is the Marijuana legalization (for recreational purposes) in at least 4 states in the USA Then their is Uruguay shoes president passed cannabis reform laws in spite of heavy voter opposition. In this scenario the state will control the trade of cannabis The Netherlands tolerance is also quite interesting. Its legal for the Coffee Shops to sell weed but technically illegal for anyone to grow it. They must think it magically appears in the coffee shops over night. I have recently read legislation that will make it illegal to see going supplies to unregistered growers - so they are still a bit confused in Holland. I invite you to look up all these schemes and start think about alternatives. We know what does not work and it does not work at all. We need to look ahead. -- OPS [Obsid Public Safety] - 24/7 control room ---------------------------------------------- 021-447-1066 072-063-1653 For all emergencies please dial 10111 ---------------------------------------------- ONW: 082 081 0142, ONW email: [email protected] WEB: www.obswatch.org.za ---------------------------------------------- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups The Observatory Neighbourhood watch group.
