The Observatory crimes trends as were reported in the January 2015 Obslife and on the [email protected] reporting site, have reference.
I kindly inquire your interest regarding the reactivation of the Observatory Neighbourhood Watch (ONW) per the following volunteer activities: - Existing ONW two way radio communication network; - Organised patrols utilizing existing ONW patrol bibs; - Impromptu patrols in cars or on foot at late night or early morning hours. - Engagement with localized 'Whats App' chat groups; - Organizing localized street braais, adventures or activities; - ONW membership registration (no membership fees required); - Interest to serve as an ONW committee member. In view of a good community response, it is envisaged to reactivate the ONW's radio communication with the Woodstock SAPS. Your valued input, for or against the ONW activities, is keenly awaited and feedback will be sent in due course.
