Obs Cafe reported a robbery Sunday 1 pm where apparently three American lady customers sitting at the open windows were robbed of their backpack with laptop laying at their feet and taken through the window.
Suspects are two black males and two black females, one wearing a flowery dress they got away in a waiting white Toyota Corolla get-way car, registration number given to Saps. This happened a day after facebook.com/obswatch reported on a possible increase of robberies in Observatory open public places involving waiting getaway cars, some at gunpoint and a recent Saps arrest of two suspect earlier this week in Arnold Street. A shop owner in LMR told me that many incidents do not get reported to either Ops or the Cops.
