Hi Incidentally it turns out not to have been a possible house break-in, but more than likely the disposing of the knife, so as not to be caught with it on his person. It was observed that the guy was hanging around on the corner of Scott and Cook since 05h55 already, looking up and down Scott and through Cook street as if keeping an eye out and then started alerting / calling somebody down the far side of Cook street as Ollie had heard that whistling. At 6h26 the police van came through Cook Street and the guy lunged up immediately from the corner he was now sitting on, seemingly reaching into the front of his trousers for something and ran up Scott Road. The Police cornered him, he turned back and ran down Scott again with the 1 Policeman chasing after him and was apprehended in Cook street. So it seems he jumped up onto the wall as he was running away in the attempt to hide the knife which the Police had obviously seen as they turned up into Scott chasing after him.
Well done SAPS and Ollie again for 1 less threat in our neighbourhood.
