I noticed the tgz file for ocropus-0.4, so just downloaded it and
tried it on my OS X 10.5 machine. After unpacking it, I found two top-
level directories, iulib and ocropus. It would be nice to have a
README at that level, explaining what to do.

Remembering that iulib is a prereq, I descended to that directory, and
tried to configure it:

marlowe : /tmp/ocropus-0.4/iulib 41 % setenv CPPFLAGS -I/local/include
marlowe : /tmp/ocropus-0.4/iulib 42 % setenv LDFLAGS -L/local/lib
marlowe : /tmp/ocropus-0.4/iulib 43 % ./configure --prefix=/local --
without-SDL
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
[...]
checking for strrchr... yes
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: error: cannot find input file: Makefile.in
marlowe : /tmp/ocropus-0.4/iulib 44 %

After that, I decided to read the INSTALL file in that directory,
which didn't help -- it says to configure/make/make install, as per
usual.

So, I'm stuck.
