I'd like to register as an OctaveForge developer.
I can contribute a few codes that may be useful
for improving Octave compatibility with Matlab.
One of those is the implementation of sosfilt.cc
attached to this message.
I am also writting a version of resample.m
using a polyphase implementation with the
advantage that the user can customize its own
anti-aliasing filter.
I have created an account on sourceForge.

here is a possible implementation for sosfilt().
I have checked that it gives consistent results
as compared to matlab's version.
