I tested the new leasqr and dfdp functions with the new 'bounds' feature and it 
seems to work fine to me.

I haven't had the time to review your patch yet (sorry, but work keeps
me very busy at the moment). Could anybody else give it a look?

Roessli, does this patch allow you to solve the problems you had in the
first place?
