It seems the DESCRIPTION file in the package had a slight syntax error. I'm a bit surprised it was actually possible to install the package. This template ends with > "... see ." I believe there's something missing, too. Ahh, the text contained "<http://www.gnu.org/licenses/>" which the browser parses as a HTML tag. I replaced "<" with "<" and ">" with ">". Good catch.
