OK. Nevertheless, when I open the very archive io-html.tar.gz I attached in http://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/octave/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9 the right descriptions have been included (see e.g., file function_descriptions_o), while on http://octave.sourceforge.net/io/overview.html these descriptions have been truncated. Evidently somewhere during publishing/upload to the site the truncation happens again. So I think there's no point in resending the same attachment... Shall I await further instructions or shall I just implement option 3 from my previous post, i.e. changing "OpenOffice.org" to "OpenOffice_org" in the texinfo stanzas in the function files? and for that matter, in the html files?
