I only have Linux. I have tried on Debian and Ubuntu and I could
reproduce the problem.

I have added the post_install function properly coded. It solves the
problem for me. Can you test on your systems if it also works for you?

I think it's because it was missing on the INDEX file. I have added it
and should work now.

I don't know, I don't understand how it differs between being root or
not. Maybe if it's root it loads the .m directory before .oct. I have
no idea. But that's what the error message says, it's running a
PKG_ADD file inside the .oct directory and it fails to find the
chk_spreadsheet_support function.
