Well, the way I see it, the minor number is for bug fix releases. This release actually adds news functions and deprecates a few more so I'd say you made a good call. I don't think that's correct, it should be date of the release. On the NEWS file of struct, it says the NEWS are for 1.1.0 but the release you made was 1.0.10. I already fixed this on the repository as well. There was a bunch of .svnignore files on both packages.
