Since long, I just tried to build an opie-image against uClibC again.
It first bailed out with bluez-utils, but zecke's patch seemed to fix

wrong! My gcc patch was written to make cross compiling more easy.
Specially when mixing glibc with other libraries or when compiling
for 32 Bit machine son 64 Bit machines. I'm glad that such a little
patch to gcc showed this error quickly. And it was really inspired by
a weekend of hacking with uclibc.
When compiling for uclibc you might want to put fail-fast into your
OVERRIDES this will make gcc abort when you put -I/usr/include into
the command line.
For iconv I have seen a bad bug in gcc as well. It is using /usr/bin/
cpp to test for presence of header files... anyway koen and marcin
had some good hints on that one.

PS: I hope we can have uclibc working soon...
