Nigel, could you please stop being ignorant? If you don't know how OE works,
keep away from the bugtracker!!!

I will try to explain:

1) this is about a *kernel* not working, which has nothing todo with a distro
(maybe a logo patch, but that's it)
2) since kernels have nothing to do with distros they should always compile,
regardless of distro
3) but a kernel is only 'garanteed' to compile if you pick the right machine,
which isn't the case here.

Michael, handhelds-sa (sa as in strongarm) is the wrong kernel, you need
handhelds-pxa, which indeed does have a defconfig. The bug is indeed invalid,
but not because of the *completely wrong* explanation nigel gave,
