[strategy]

As OE remains to be a common platform for handheld distribution metadata, I
think we need to continue supporting iPAQs as good as possible. We can do this
by keeping an eye on Familiar Linux and their changes. The Familiar Linux OE
fork can be considered a special branch of OE and we should try to get as much
as possible of their bugfixes into OE.

Thanks to OE being a common denominator, I see $DISTRO being more or less
irrelevant, but support for $MACHINE is what counts. In my opinion we should
work on getting DISTRO=generic to be a useful DISTRO for almost all support
devices and keep DISTRO=!generic for decisions like branding, polishing, and
tailoring.
