Another way of getting the IP address is to call RasGetProjectionsInfo which is applicable for Dial Up Networking. There is an example of how to do this at http://www.feld.cvut.cz/~xtomasej/ics/TWSocket/ModemIP.html

 

You will need a Ras unit to use this, I have a component that incorporates this method and returns the IP address you are connected to.

Hi people

 

I have the need to determine my own IP address that has been assigned by my provider during a connection. I beleive there are sites that will send back your IP address when you contact them ?? I need this so a remote site can contact a base system over the internet - so the client needs to know the base systems IP to connect .

 

Can anyone help ??
