Heres the management reasons I keep hearing why they use VB

1. Borland are going under.
2. Delphi is for freaks - VB is for real people
3. Its MS therfore its good
4. Its MS therefore I (The IT manager) have made a wise decision and
therefore my job is safe.
5. VB is easy (see 2) therefore we can find cheep labour to do our
development.
6. Just look how well it fits in with word and Excell.
7. We have made a corporate decision to use only MS products.

I find that of all these 7 is the most stupid and annoying to me personally.

All of these reasons form a corporate culture eminating from at least as
high up as the IT manager. You can't change this culture.
