AYS. Hard to beat Matrox. My old M0illenium II looks obviously nicer than
any of the new AGP cards I have seen. I'l call you tomorrow about your
G200. - not interested in 3D.

Subject: Re: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: Delphi and graphic cards

I have tried:

S3 - worked OK for ages, didn't have too many problems.

Matrox Millennium II (PCI). Goes up to 1280x1024x32bit at high refresh

Matrox G200 Millennium (AGP). Goes WAY up (8meg). 3D is OK if you dont
have a K6-based system, as I do.

Its for sale, if anyone is interested (price neg., but cheap), because I
now have:

NVidia TNT2. AGP. KICK AR*E 2d (on par with Matrox) speed, tho image
quality is a little less than Matrox. 3D is incredible. I imported my
own from the US, for the sole reason to play Quake III arena :). And try
OpenGL programming.... ... yeah.... thats right.....

In my experience, aside from the SGI workstation I used at Uni
(NNNNIIIICCCEEE), its hard to beat any of the cards from Matrox in 2d.
The image quality is amaizing, you get VERY high resolutions (>>>>
1024x768) and high colors (32bit) at VERY high refresh rates (I use
1186x864x32bit color @ 75Hz on the TNT2. The Matrox will do up to 120Hz
at that, if you monitor will take it). Matrox's 2D drivers are also very
good, but their NT support for 3D is pathetic.

Oh, and if you have 2, and 2 monitors, you can do dual monitors under
NT/95.
