Try using 'find' to find the file. When it finds a file it seems to cause
the buffers for the files that it finds to be flushed and gives you a good
copy. Seems to happen with a lot of different files even on an Nt
workstation just copying files at times.

Subject: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: IIS

OK this one I realise is very off topic but I am losing what little I have
left of my hair on this one.

We have a machine running IIS with an ftp service on it. when I run PC
Anywhere to access the machine and open a text file called nwlog it has 65
lines. When i copy the file through ftp to my machine it has 2 lines. All I
can think of is that the file is somehow being cached somewhere and an
older
version of the file is being copied instead. Does anyone know what might be
causing this.

A definite chocolate fish or a beer will be given,

your choice.

Matt.
