[DUG-OFFTOPIC]: NT v 95,98

Ok - heres the thing - I have a brand new virginal 466Mhz Celeron machine with 8.4 G HD 64 M Ram etc and I find myself in a quandary -   Do I install NT or 95/98 ?? The problem is that I still need to do a fair bit of DOS coding with access to the bare metal necessary (ie: Serial I/O, special hardware cards etc) .   So what to do?   I think maybe a dual boot setup is the solution but need some pointers to do it (if its possible).
