Nic,
I have to agree. I'm not usually very enthused about hardware but this
thing does it for me. How do you have your extra buttons mapped? I've used
the little thumb button as 'escape' (a very important key in our apps). As
an IO device I rate it tops. My complaint (I have small hands but I don't
have a problem with the big silver thing) is that while my new mouse and
fancy explorer keyboard _should_ let me do things real fast, I'm stuck with
lots of real-soon-now kinds of responses to wheel twiddling and
Mail/Web/Volume/Media button pushing. If only M$ software could keep up
with the fancy input hardware, I would join you in heaven and buy you a
beer. Mind you, I've also had to install a nice animated hourglass cursor
of a Ducati cornering for when Delphi decides to have a sleep. The blame
for that probably rests with me for leaving Code Insight turned on (it's a
must have), or with Borland/Inprise for not killing the Code Insight thread
(or whatever it is ) when I start typing again, but I guess its more fun to
blame Microsoft.
One more thing about the mouse - kids love it, and the glow makes it easier
to find your machine in the dark (I use a blank-the-screen screen-saver and
sometimes have inspiration at odd times of day(night))
