Way I heard it, Borland took MS to court years ago because of the MS hiring practise - basically headhunting key Borland employees (like Anders?) which was affecting Borland Delphi development while kick starting the MS Cool/C# project. I suspect at the time MS would have been happy to pay Borland Delphi developers to sit on there hands while they tarted up VB <g>. After the case dragged on for a few years the MS legal army, (who were busy with the DOJ & other lawsuits) settled out of court. The deal seemed to involve MS pumping a few hundred million into Borland shares & Borland agreeing to use MFC & saying nice things about COM+...
BTW - everybody else get the 'Claire Swires' chain mail? Amazing, it has spread faster than any worm or virus I have heard of...
