Well I wouldn't install Corel Linux for 2 reasons. 1) It wouldn't detech
most of my hardware (mouse, modem and soundcard). Although that was
version 1. Version 2 may be different. 2) Corel are getting out of the
distro business I think.
I would go for Mandrake 7.2. It was recommended by a Linux guru I know as
the better distro for the uninitiated. By a couple of books as well. I
have the Linux Unleashed book (mainly because it was only 29.95 AUS as a
sellout). It has helped me a bit. Another good book you hear about is
Running Linux 3 edition by O'Reilly.
If anyone wants to recommend some other books I'd be interested.
