Hmm, I keep seeing a lot of comment that suggests quite the reverse. The ban on benchmark publishing is pain. Running a model is Java is utterly unworkable though and I struggle to see how the .NET architecture make this any better. And what's the overhead on calling say OpenGL? If compiled a model under Delphi 7 .NET preview and timed it, would that be a valid comparison? ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Zealand Delphi Users group - Offtopic List - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website: http://www.delphi.org.nz To UnSub, send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] with body of "unsubscribe offtopic" Web Archive at: http://www.mail-archive.com/offtopic%40delphi.org.nz/
