I use it exclusively, on a delphi app and a php website (because it is
cheap - free!)
Both deployed on Windows 2003 Web Edition (cheap - no licencing issues)
For the agent you can use windows scheduler or a windows cron
implementation (cheap as chips)
and the sqlcmd command line utility (cheap - free)

Hi all.
Is anyone out there deploying Apps. running on MSSQL Server 2005 Express?
I am looking at converting over an app that uses access, and am keen
to know peoples experences.
I notice it doenst have the SQL agent, so how do people get on for
automated updates etc? Do you jsut run a SQL command to initiate one?
What about deploying it? I know I have it provide .Net 2.0 framework.
Whats the lowest version of OS you have installed it onto?
