Title: Provincial Delphi
Yeah, it *did* look kinda close to being a dream job.
It was certainly damn near being the requirements to the dream job.
And damn I was sick of the last one  ;)
And I did "sell out" to the devils own software development environment.

Although, I kinda had a soft spot for VB for a few years : I was as
loud a VB knocker as anyone, until we had a VB dev wander in who
jumped into Delphi, picked it up and justabout cleaned our clocks. He
was very, very fast, but wrote good code too.
(And for a few years that was the level I set the bar at. I think
(well, flatter myself) that I'm as good now as he was, but god only knows
what he is like now...)

Don't know if gajo gets OffTopic(?) but he was Yugoslav too.

Cheers, Kurt.

Mmmm, so you are looking out for the best job out there which suits you? By golly, you should be suitably ashamed! :-).

You've got a good point about it being rude (and very frustrating to your employer) to up and leave after just 3 weeks in a job but at least you are taking that into account and feeling hesitant as a result!

And of course you have provided much entertainment to the rest of us which is never a bad thing... ;-).
