I accept the nomination. Thanks. My disclosure statement (thanks Alan), such as it is: 1. My day job is at Joost. We don't use Solaris. =) 2. I am currently President of The Apache Software Foundation. As part of that role, I'm ultimately responsible for the apache.org infrastructure which uses Solaris for some services. Apache has a long and complex relationship with Sun - but we have always tried to take a position of constructive engagement with Sun. 3. I've been involved in OpenSolaris since the Pilot program began and have contributed my viewpoints to the lists where I feel it has been warranted. I have had long discussions with Sun folks about OpenSolaris at various times and places. Notably, I do not have CC status through any CGs. 4. I am a long-time contributor to both the Apache HTTP Server and Subversion among other open-source projects. Also, I am inching my way towards completing my PhD at the University of California, Irvine. (In the interest of disclosure, while our time did not overlap, Roy Fielding and I share the same advisor.) For more, you can view my website: http://www.erenkrantz.com/ Thanks. -- justin
