Thank you. After much consideration, I am accepting the nomination. In compliance with the proposed amendment requiring disclosure of interests, I hereby disclose for the record: 1. I am an employee of Sun Microsystems, Inc. in the Solaris engineering organization. I have asked for and received permission from my manager to run for the OGB. I however do not have permission to take any actions I believe to be against the interests of my employer, though as a long time employee, my management generally trusts me to judge what I believe is in the company's interest and act appropriately. 2. I am a member of the engineering team working on Project Indiana, specifically the X Window System packages used in the distro. I am also a member of the engineering team working on the Nevada/Solaris Express distros, also on their X Window System components. I was previously a member of the LSARC architecture review committee, which has participated somewhat in OpenSolaris ARC discussions, but stepped down last month due to time constraints, to allow more time for my duties as a current OGB member and my engineering work. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersmith at sun.com Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering
